Arghakhanchi: Three people have died in a fire that broke out in Arghakhanchi municipality while trying to extinguish the fire. The deceased include 72-year-old Pitambar Belwase, 55-year-old Padam Belwase, and 52-year-old Ghanshyam Belwase from Bhumi Kasthāna-2, near Tirtire Gaun. Pitambar had died while being taken to a hospital in Rāmpur of Palpa district for treatment, while Padam had died on the way to the hospital in Narayanghat near Chitwan for treatment.
Similarly, Ghanshyam had died at the Burn Hospital in Kirtipur, Kathmandu, where he was being treated, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Mukund Rijal of the district police office, who provided the information.
On Tuesday afternoon, five people were injured in a fire that broke out in the house of Padam Belwase in Khola Gaun, Bhumi Kasthāna-2, while trying to extinguish the fire. Asmita Belwase, 26, and Madhav Belwase, 36, were among those injured in the incident.
The police have informed that Madhav’s condition is serious and he has been recommended to be taken to the Mission Hospital in Palpa for further treatment after initial treatment at the Sandhikharka District Hospital. If treatment is not possible there, he has been recommended to be taken to Kathmandu.
In addition, eight houses were destroyed in a fire that broke out in the Muslim settlement in Ward No. 4 of Sandhikharka Municipality. Four cows also died in the fire. The District Police Office has informed that more than 800 chickens were destroyed in a fire at a poultry farm.
The houses of Khairi Miya, Rajim Miya, Kala Miya, Samsu Miya, Jamaluddin Miya, Safi Miya, and Sameser Miya in the Muslim settlement were destroyed in the fire. The Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, and local residents extinguished the fire.
